Nathan Coetzee, an Emmy nominated Film and TV editor based in SE London, embarked on his career by cutting film marketing with some of the most sought-after trailer houses in London.
His collaboration with Intermission Film resulted in four consecutive Screen Awards nominations for Trailer of the Year, with a win for "SON OF SAUL" and nominations for "HOUNDS OF LOVE," "WHITNEY," and "DISOBEDIENCE.” Other notable highlights in his portfolio include "45 YEARS" and "HIGH-RISE," alongside numerous independent projects produced and edited with various award-winning directors and producers.
Transitioning into long-form, Nathan has edited several award-winning TV docu-series with Dash Pictures, including: "DISASTERS ENGINEERED” Season 1 & 2 (4x45’, 2 x Daytime Emmy nominee for Outstanding Educational or Informational Series), "FANTASTIC FRIENDS” Season 1 & 2 (5x45’, HBO Europe, The CW), "FRONTIER" (2x45’, Channel 5/Paramount+), VIKINGS: THE RISE AND FALL" (1x45’, National Geographic/Disney+, Daytime Emmy nominee for Outstanding Educational or Informational Series), “GO GENTLY” (2x45’, TBC).
Currently, Nathan is contributing Additional Editing to "THE EXPERIMENT," a feature film directed by Chee Kong Cheung, and has another feature film lined up for 2024 as Lead Editor.
Nathan has also been part of the editorial teams for "FORMULA 1: DRIVE TO SURVIVE" (Finishing Editor, S2E10) and "CHARLIE MACKESY: THE BOY, THE MOLE, THE FOX, THE HORSE AND ME" (Assembly Editor).
