Lars Janssen is a screenwriter, director and producer originally from the Netherlands. He launched the independent film production company Rêvasser Films in 2008, followed by the local production division Guernsey Filmworks in 2020 based in the Channel Islands.

 After directing and producing several award-winning short films LORELEI, BACKSTAGE and BLUE BLOOD, he attracted private funding to make his directorial feature debut with the survival horror film UNDERGROUND. The film was released in the United States on 9 January, 2024 exclusively on ScreamBox and via Digital and On Demand. Available in the United Kingdom from 26 February, 2024 and with a release scheduled in the Netherlands and Belgium for April 2024. Other countries will follow later this year. UNDERGROUND was awarded ‘Best First-Time Feature Film’ at the BIFF: Boden International Film Festival Sweden and also highlighted in The New York Times feature ‘Five Horror Movies to Stream’.

Lars is currently in post-production of his next horror feature film THE GRIEVING STONES and is working on several exciting new projects, including the feature films 999 a collaboration with ANIMA, GUARDIAN and FORTRESS.
